On the afternoon of January 8, 2026, Mr.César Gamboa, Consul General of Chile in Guangzhou, led a delegation of entrepreneurs to visit WGTin Haikou to exchange and discuss ways to deepen cooperation between Chilean enterprises andHainan FTP.

WGT first introduced the business office environment, platform features and one-stop operation service system to the delegation representatives. Gao Tingting, the director of one-stop operations, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed her willingness to fully leverage the investment promotion and supporting functions of the Global trade window and the policy advantages of the Hainan FTP, and actively promote investment opportunities in Hainan to Chilean enterprises.

Pan Xiaotian, the manager of the International Trade Department, pointed out that Hainan's policy advantages not only cover tariff reduction and exemption, investment facilitation and other aspects, but also have formed a unique "policy highland" in the medical and health field. Relying on the Boao Hopecity International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, Hainan has established the most open medical franchise policy system in China, achieving "four franchises" : franchise medical care, franchise research, franchise operation, and franchise international medical exchanges. Through the application pilot of real-world data, it has facilitated the accelerated entry of international drugs and medical devices into the Chinese market. It is gradually being built into an international medical innovation cluster that radiates to the Chinese mainland and even the world.

Mr. César Gamboa, Consul General of Chile in Guangzhou, said that Hainan is geographically close to Chile and has convenient sea routes, which can serve as an important hub for Chilean products to enter the huge Chinese consumer market and Southeast Asia. The policies of the Hainan FTP, such as "zero tariffs, low tax rates, and simple tax systems", as well as the free flow of cross-border capital, have significant appeal to Chilean enterprises. Chile's high-quality fruits, nutritional health products and other characteristic products are expected to achieve trade expansion and industrial cooperation through Hainan.

Mr. Zhang Weihua, the president of the Hainan Wine Culture Exchange Association, and Ms. Zhang Ruixin, the general manager of Hainan Qiongyaojiang Culture Co., LTD., both seasoned professionals with years of experience in the wine import and export field, jointly stated that the policies such as "zero tariffs" and "low tax rates" implemented by the Hainan FTP have provided systematic convenience for the entire industrial chain of wine import, storage, display and trading. They look forward to taking this as an opportunity to gradually build Hainan into a consumption and cultural exchange center with influence in the Asia-Pacific region, and share the development dividends brought by the free trade port's "buying globally, selling globally, and calculating globally" strategy.

In addition, the two sides had a practical exchange on how to jointly leverage the advantages of platform resources and services. In the future, efforts will be made to enhance the enterprise recognition and publicity coverage of the Hainan FTP in Chile, continuously optimize the supporting facilities for investment promotion and the one-stop service system, and further promote the in-depth connection between Hainan and Chile in economic and trade exchanges and enterprise cooperation.
