At the forefront of this journey, the Hainan Free Trade Port enters a landmark year as it prepares to implement special customs operations and open its door even wider to the world. How will Hainan present its unique opportunities and dynamic vitality to the world?

To mark this milestone, HIMC is launching Hainan, China: Where Opportunity Knocks, inviting representatives from government, business, overseas Chinese communities, academia, and international circles to share their stories of growing alongside Hainan. The program decodes the Free Trade Port’s policy dividends and extends an open invitation to the world to embrace its opportunities.

As we look back at 2024, one of the key highlights was the “Presenting the Hainan Free Trade Port to the World” event, hosted at Lanting by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People’s Government of Hainan Province. With the theme “Local Practices of Chinese Modernization—Hainan Free Trade Port: New Era, New Mission, New Opportunities,” the event showcased Hainan’s pivotal role in China’s modernization and global collaboration.

While many distinguished guests from around the world were present, the reporter from HIMC provided insight into the perspectives of the Ambassador of Thailand, the Ambassador of Turkey, and the Minister Counsellor for Economy and Trade of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as they shared how the Hainan Free Trade Port is creating new opportunities for international partnerships.
